Eleanor's Norfolk

Eleanor's Norfolk is a worker-owned radical indie bookstore and community library located at 801 Boush St, unit B, Norfolk, VA 23510. The store aims to create a vibrant space for people to connect, learn, organize, and build community, with a focus on centering silenced voices and celebrating marginalized voices.

The bookstore offers a wide selection of books, e-books, and audiobooks, as well as merchandise and events. The community library consists of every book in the shop, and membership is currently open to Patreon supporters.

Eleanor's Norfolk also hosts the People's Free School, a grassroots effort that offers radical study and self-organized learning. The school creates a platform for community education and fosters the idea that all people are potential educators. The store encourages people to share their knowledge and skills, and to get involved in the community.

In addition to its community-focused initiatives, Eleanor's Norfolk also offers special orders and bulk orders. The store accepts donations for the pantry via Venmo and Giftster, and relies on community contributions to sustain its projects. The store's team operates slowly and thoughtfully, prioritizing the capacity and needs of its crew, and asks that customers allow them time to respond to inquiries.

The store can be found at 801 Boush St, unit B, Norfolk, VA 23510, and can be contacted through their website or social media channels. Customers can also become sustainers on Patreon to support the store's community-focused initiatives.
