Ghent Eats Llc

Ghent Eats is a business located in Norfolk, Virginia, and is categorized as a restaurant. The business is associated with several brands, including Cogans Pizza Ghent, Cogans Pizza North Colley, and Hank's Filling Station. The story of Ghent Eats began when founders Dave Filipowski and Rich Katz looked to open a new restaurant venture after their first restaurant, Speedy's Tacos. They came across the old Cogans building, a former instant art bar, and decided to transform it into a pizza and beer joint with a punk rock flavor. The Cogans Pizza Ghent location features a custom 33-tap bar and artwork, including an original Ringling Brothers Circus poster that inspired the Cogans Gorilla logo. The restaurant serves pizza with a unique dough recipe, ideal sauces, and high-quality cheeses. A sister location, Cogans Pizza North, was later opened in the Highland Park neighborhood, featuring a rooftop deck and 44 taps, including a two-tap beer engine. In addition to the Cogans Pizza locations, Ghent Eats also operates Hank's Filling Station, a backyard beer and bourbon adult playground in the North Colley area of Norfolk. The concept behind Hank's Filling Station was inspired by local racing and car enthusiast James 'Hank' Hankins. Ghent Eats is led by founder and owner Rich Katz, along with Dave, and has a team that includes Keith Parnell, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer. The business is committed to its community and has a presence in several locations throughout Norfolk.
